Strippers have often been a staple of the hens party and I think they always will be. But if you want to go down this route you need to ask yourself one very important question first of all – who is attending! The biggest downer on a night with a hot man strutting his stuff is for some of the guests to be uncomfortable or in some cases I have seen – to leave.. So make sure you either know the people that are coming or ask the bride beforehand. In some cases it may just mean having the stripper earlier or later but save yourself the grief of a ‘flop’ if you can.
However, once this is sorted you can go to town and decide on just how personal an experience that you want to have! The main options are:
1. A well known strip club. In a set venue like this you can all just watch the general public show or order one of the guys for a private lap dance or show for just your party. The added benefit is there are lots to choose from.
2. Hire a guy to come to your home. The advantage of this is you have the stripper all to yourself and you can really make it personal for the hen on the night. You can also choose one in advance that will take most or everything off.
3. The third is to go to a show like ManPower or the Chippendales. These are choreographed shows and will usually have the hottest of men, great show moves and have that wow factor that the others will not have. The downside is this is not as personal.
4. Finally there are venues now that supply topless bartenders, strippers and basically lots of naked men to serve you all night. These venues tend to get very raunchy however so check out the place in advance. I have seen some venues that offers a whole lot more than a strip show which is not for everyones taste at all.
As you can see there are plenty of options so get out there and have some fun.

If you are anything like me you can find it quite hard to remember all the names that are thrown at you in a hens party. The usual remedy to this is to wear nametags, but this can be quite boring so my recommendation is to have everyone write their name but with a twist – think about things like “Saucy Sarah”, “Devilish Dannie” etc. This is actually also a lot of fun when you hit the town as it encourages other people to speak to your group members by name and also act as a talking point as you find others discussing just how ’saucy Sarah really is’!!!

This hens party game is a great one for getting to know one another better and is a really nice one for the bride as she has a chance to reminisce with close friends.
To play this game you will need a number of large post-it notes and pens. Each guest must then write a sentence or two of a memory that they have of the bride, and pass it back to you. All notes are then placed in a hat for the bride to take out and read aloud.
After reading she must then guess who wrote the story, what it is about and then tell the story to the rest of the group. This is high on my list of hens party games as it adds that personal touch and is quite often a real laugh for everyone involved.

hen's party games - pash the picture
A more provocative version of ‘pin the macho on the man’, this hen’s party game is pretty much self explanatory. A picture of a guy (attractive or not) is placed on the wall. Each girl takes it in turn to be blindfolded and put on some bright smudgable lipstick. The guest is then spun around three times before walking forward and attempting to kiss the picture on the lips. The key point for this hens party game is that the player is not allowed to use their hands to find the poster edges. I also recommend finding a picture where the man is laying down on this side as this means all parts of him are at one level and makes it even more difficult to match up correctly.
The winner of the game is usually the woman that kisses the closest to his lips, however you can change this to another part if you prefer.

This game is virtually the same as usual Pictionary but instead of using the standard cards you will need to make your own that include wedding related words such as bride, rings, flowers, invitations and the like.
On the night you will need to provide paper and pens, and divide the guests into two equal teams with the cards in the centre. The first team member will then take a card and draw the word using only pictures (no gesturing or words are allowed). The other women on her team then try to guess the word. If they cannot guess it then play passes to the opposing team to guess.
The teams then take it in turn to draw and guess. The team with the most correct answers wins.
