Planning a hens party can be like planning a mini-wedding.  You have guest lists, venues to book, transport to find, activities to arrange, costumes to wear, and the list goes on and on…  Now this used to a huge task but thanks to technology we now have the means to make things easier.  Here are a couple of recommendations for making your life a whole lot easier:

1.  Facebook – set up an event and invite all your friends in one go.  The guests can RSVP online and you can email updates as you go.  The limitation of this is if friends are not on facebook they can often get left out!

2.  Use a hens party planner service.  There are a number available online, but my favourite is from Hens Party HQ.  This service allows you to invite guests, send out updates, location maps, add photos and generally just set up your hens party all in one location.

Classy Hen Party Ideas - Top Hotel BarA great choice to start out any classy hen party night is to meet in a top hotel bar.  On entering the venue, your guests will be greeted by the doorman and invited into opulent surroundings that will definitely set the stage for the evening ahead.  Sip champagne and cocktails, nibble on canapés and enjoy the excellent service.

Of course the main point of this option is to create the mood and as such this does not have to be a hotel bar but any top notch bar or restaurant that suits your hens party style.  Do remember to ask your hens to dress appropriately as this will have a marked impact as well.

Three of my favourites are:

  • Claridges in London, UK
  • Windsor Hotel in Melbourne, Australia
  • The Plaza in New York, USA
