For many women, the slumber party holds many great memories and was a time of fun and laughter with your best friends. An opportunity to dress up, eat loads of junk and do what girls do best – talk! There is also something about the dark late at night that brings down barriers and lets down inhibitions. A slumber party gives you the chance to really get to know one another and delve into your deepest darkest secrets… shhh…
Well, an adult slumber party is much the same, except that this time there are no parents to tell you to go to sleep and there is likely to be a lot more alcohol involved. Instead of raiding the kitchen and making cookies like one of my own slumber parties, an adult slumber party tends to have us raiding the kitchen for cocktail ingredients. But hey, the fun is the same. So how do you run this type of Hens Party?
Location: Someones home, preferably set up the lounge or large room to fit in lots of matresses and blankets and pillows.
Decorations: I don’t think these are required here but if you like use cut outs of the moon and set up fairy lights and candles.
Outfits: Pyjamas of course.
Hens Party Games: Think about your younger days and you can pretty much recreate the same things. Singing along to old CDs, hire some romantic mushy movies or some horrors depending on your audience. Definitely ask everyone to bring make up and make sure that you all help to give the bride a ‘gorgeous’ make over..
