The problem with organising a beautiful wedding day is that it takes a lot of time, money and effort from all involved. Particularly the bride and her bridesmaids. It is for this reason that the pamper party is such a successful hens party theme. Set amid the rush and fatigue of planning lies an oasis of calm and relaxation in your own home and allow the bride to prepare herself for the big day both mentally and physically.

There a number of ways you can run this depending on your time and budget.

The first is to get in a pamper party specialist. Very much like a tupperware party, a host will come along and allow you all to try various products that are on offer and treat each other to simple manicures, pedicures and even facials. This takes virtually no organisation and the cost is set by each guest as they decide on products they would like to buy. The added benefit is that the bride will often get a percentage of all purchases to buy some products for herself.

The second option is to run your own pamper party at home. While this does take more effort it is also more personal and less restricted with times or the need to buy anything. You can get the other guests involved by bringing their favourite products to share, or bring in a beautician or a massuer that can treat the girls throughout the day while the rest of you give each other manicures and the like.

Either way this party is all about the relaxation so set up your home with candles and music and really chill out..

Right, so going away for a few days isn’t exactly an option but you’d still like to treat your friend to a memorable experience. A spa pamper party ends up doubling as preparing your friend for her big day – the bride is often given extra attention and certain treatments can be thrown in as a bonus.

By making a group booking you minimise the stress of having to plan an entertaining itinerary, as these themed spa experiences take care of the day for you. Don’t forget about all the additional facilities such as plunge pools, saunas and steam baths that will allow you to relax and enjoy some quality time with your friends, either before or after therapists takes care of everybody’s grooming needs. A great choice to start out any classy hen party night is to meet in a top hotel bar. On entering the venue, your guests will be greeted by the doorman and invited into opulent surroundings that will definitely set the stage for the evening ahead. Sip champagne and cocktails, nibble on canapés and enjoy the excellent service.

Of course the main point of this option is to create the mood and as such this does not have to be a hotel bar but any top notch bar or restaurant that suits your hens party style. Do remember to ask your hens to dress appropriately as this will have a marked impact as well.

The Hens Party Day Spa – take the girls away for a well deserved break of pampering with a massage, a manicure and maybe a glass of champagne.

Wine Tasting Day – Either hire a bus or a set tour and drive around a wine region for the day tasting the wines and learning more about the complexities of wine. You can also stop at a winery for a gourmet lunch on the way and give yourself an opportunity to have any speeches or play games at this pit stop.

The Gourmet Hens Party – Have a gourmet dinner party with a chef hired for the night to come in and provide all the guests with a culinary experience.

Sit back and relax while a myriad of staff members bring you endless pots of tea served with sandwiches, cakes, biscuits and scones. It is luxurious and decadent. The beauty of this day is that it is also extremely easy to co-ordinate. Simply book a slot at an exclusive restaurant and spend hours there at a set price. The only real downside of this event is that it is rather formal and is therefore not everyones cup of tea.. so make sure you know the guests that will be coming and gauge for suitability. You will also need to make sure your activities are definitely classy hen party games. One would not be so uncouth as to act irresponsibly.

Pretty much every woman loves fashion and what better way to bring everyone together than to organise a day with a personal fashion consultant. The crux of this classy hen party is that the consultant will talk about general principles in finding the right styles and shapes for the season and body types, following on later with personal sessions with the girls to give them an overview on just what will suit them. I like to also add a beautician to the day who will also give tips and a mini make-over for the bride at the very least. This is one of my favourite classy hen party ideas as it is a perfect opportunity for the bride to really relax amid the stress of planning her wedding. What’s more, it can be a great break for the stressed out bridesmaids too!!

The key to this day is to determine your budget and group numbers first of all as this will determine whether you need to book out a day spa or whether you will organise a therapist or two to attend your home.

The next step is to find the right salon. You will want to find a place that offers group discounts and has the capacity to work on several girls at once and ideally has a space for you all to sit and relax between treatments. There is really nothing like lounging around with friends in fluffy white robes drinking champagne while waiting for your next facial or massage. Ask your friends for tips or just the local directory will give you some good directions in this.

Last of all you will need to think of some classy hen party games to go hand in hand with the day to make it more than just a day at the spa. For a day like this I would recommend games like the couples quiz or have you ever.

As you probably already know, the average hens party can be downright dirty and is definitely not for everyone. For this reason I have dedicated this section to providing some classy hen party ideas that will allow you to create a feel of style and elegance to your next gathering:

The Day Spa

There is nothing more luxurious than being pampered at a spa for the day. Take a range of treatments and just relax while chatting to the girls and drinking some champagne in your robes. bliss!

High Tea

Treat yourselves to an afternoon affair in an upmarket hotel with cakes, sandwiches and tea. This is a particularly great venue to just chat and have a laugh with your other guests.

Gourmet Meal

Treat yourselves to a gourmet meal at one of the finest restaurants in your area, or better yet have a personal chef come to your home and cook you all a sensational meal of your choosing. Even better is that they will often do the setting up and cleaning for you too! This is one of my favourite classy hen party ideas as it is simple but entertaining and most of all delicious. You can even add some wine tasting to the evening to match up with your individual courses.

Wine Tasting

One of my favourite activities is visiting wineries and tasting beautiful wines and delectable cheeses. Hire a minivan and make a day trip of it, or for a more local affair you can hire a professional for the day who will come to your home and teach you all the pleasures of wine.

Fashion Day

Attend a fashion show and then follow it up by hiring a personal fashion consultant who will take you through the colours and styles that will match your personal look and taste. You can then all head out on a mass shopping spree if you like…
